CAMPAIGN EVENT

Rally for Leslie "The Comeback Kid" Knope at the Pawnee Sports Building (800 Howell Blvd.)

Special Guest: Local Hero "Pistol" Pete Disellio!

sports building

Citizens of Pawnee, potential voters, national television newsmagazine producers working on stories about amazing local political campaigns... welcome.

This Thursday, come on down to the Pawnee Sports Building and "get on your feet" because Leslie Knope is relaunching her campaign! She may be down, but she is not out. Leslie is like "Rocky," "Hoosiers" and "That Guy from the Movie 'The Fighter'" all in one! Come to the rally and be there from the very beginning. There will be a special Pawnee hero there, as well: (SPOILER ALERT) "Pistol" Pete Disellio, who will be recreating a certain slam dunk from a certain legendary 1992 Pawnee Central victory over a certain Eagleton High!

OFFICAL ENDORSEMENT:
Pawnee's Own "Pistol" Pete Disellio Joins Team Knope!

Pete Disellio "I fully endorse Leslie Knope. Voting for her is a slam dunk!" - "Pistol" Pete Disellio

If you weren't at the rally, or if you left during the middle, you missed being a part of history! Pawnee legend "Pistol" Pete Disellio took to the ice and endorsed Leslie Knope's campaign for City Council. It was an event that will go down in history as "the attempted dunk heard round the world!"

*UPDATE: We are happy to announce that Pistol Pete is currently in stable condition at Pawnee Hospital and will be just fine.

**The Knope 2012 campaign would like to say, just as like a public service message, that playing basketball on the ice is dangerous and should not be attempted by amateurs. Or professionals either, really.
